Teachers are not terrorists!

Hi!

Recently the U.S.education secretary called anyone belonging to the NEA a terrorist. Excuse me? If a terrorist is anyone who uses whatever means necessary (whether it's creating a wild and crazy lesson plan, spending lots of one's own money, or getting more education to do a better job) to teach tomorrow's future leaders, then, yes, I am a terrorist and proud of it. Hmmmm...................

I think that this site will raise lots of interesting conversation, and hopefully, being the lifelong learner-terrorist that I am, I'll learn some things to help me be a better teacher.

I have friends that teach school and i'll swear I don't know why they do it. And then ,Yes I do, their dedicated, not to the system but the children and God bless them for that.I drove a school bus for a couple of years and I would say that most of the children were good. If there was ever a segregation policy it should be in the schools, many of those kids don't deserve having to put up with the junk they do while trying to learn,nor do the teachers either for that matter.Tollorance in education don't work. Disipline does. I totally wish you the best....charlie poore
